Children's Holiday Benefit Concert.

Please join World of Song's singer/children's entertainer Allison DeSalvo & Friends accompanied by guitarist Charlie Phillips and percussion, as they bring alive the spirit of the holidays performing classic favorites celebrating Christmas, Hanukah, and Kwanzaa, Peace and Love.
Come prance like reindeer, spin like dreidles, jingle some sleigh bells and color a giant holiday mural. A joyfully festive, interactive concert of singing and dancing with instruments, puppets, stories and art for the whole family!

Allison DeSalvo began producing this benefit concert after 911 while living in New York City. Out of a desire to help she made her annual holiday concert in Brooklyn a charity event as a way for children and families to help other children and families in need. The first concert locally was in 2005 and every year support for the event has grown. The concerts in Swarthmore have raised funds for the Red Cross for Katrina victims, St. Jude's cancer research, Art Reach bringing the arts the underserved and this year Rubye's Kids. All proceeds from this year's concert will be donated to Rubye's Kids, a small grass roots organization, named after Ruby Caesar, who many years ago began helping kids in her community from what little she had. Since her death in 1994, Ruby's legacy has continued through the organization by serving underprivileged and homeless children and families in shelters in the Philadelphia area by providing them with an annual Holiday Party, necessary school supplies, birthday parties and abundance of love and care that they might otherwise not receive.
