Classic storybook engine, Thomas the Tank Engine, rolls into Strasburg Rail Road for the Day Out With Thomas 2009: The Hero of the Rails Tour. This fun-filled festival offers families the opportunity to take a 25-minute ride with Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular Thomas and Friends series. The tour, now in its 14th year, is sure to engineer miles of smiles for every guest. The event takes place on June 13-21, 2009 at Strasburg Rail Road http://www.strasburgrailroad.com/.
Day Out With Thomas at Strasburg Rail Road provides a unique, interactive family experience, offering a variety of entertaining activities that feature Thomas and Friends themed entertainment for the entire family, including:Meet and greet photo opportunity with Sir Topham HattThomas and Friends Imagination Station; featuring stamps, temporary tattoos, hands-on arts and crafts activities, coloring sheets and engineer certificates. Storytelling, video viewing and live music. The Cagney – an authentic miniature steam trainA vintage Pump CarCranky Cars – perfect for our pint-sized passengers. Hay bail rides down the track
During the Day Out With Thomas 2009: The Hero of the Rails Tour, children will also be provided with a “Tour Map,” that guides them through the four station stops – the Imagination Station, the Meet and Greet with Sir Topham Hatt, the Storytelling/Video Viewing area and the gift shop. After receiving four stamps on their map, each child will receive a 3-D Thomas poster with glasses (while supplies last).
