Our favorite part was petting the Rays in the touch tank, they were like little puppy dogs that kept coming back for more attention!

If you are spending time down the Jersey shore this summer you may want to check the Atlantic City Aquarium, there are other activities to do during the summer months at the Historic Gardner's Basin like boat rides, crafters village and shopping.

Review on Safety Tats and Discount

Chances are you will be visiting the beach, zoo, or an amusement park this summer and if your like most parents you worry about your little one getting separated from you. I know it's a constant fear that I have. When I travel with my kids I usually use a safety necklace with their information engraved on it, but I always have to remember to put the necklaces on them each morning before we leave the hotel and recently my youngest broke her necklace while we were away.

While we were traveling over spring break, I had my kids try Safety Tats, and we were very happy with them. I placed them on each child before we left the hotel room, the Safety Tat stayed on them for for our 2 day trip and even during the pool and showers. I liked the fact I didn't have to worry about placing a new one on while we were away and the kids thought they were cool. Safety Tat also has allergy tattoos, build your own tattoos and tattoos for tweens.

Great News Safety Tats is offering 10% off an order of $15 or more. Coupon is good now through May 3, 2010. The coupon code is KidsInDelawareCounty (must be typed as seen, case sensitive)

For more information: visit www.safetytat.com/

A Midsummer Nights Dream

On Friday and Saturday 16th and 17th@ 1:00 pm

Adapted by Gillette Elvgren, Shakespeare’s best-loved comedy is brought to life especially for young audiences. In this rollicking version, four members of a traveling theatre troupe wake up one morning to discover that they have been abandoned by the other members of their company. That evening they are required to perform A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM before the local Squire, and have to madly re-invent the play so that it can be done with just four actors. The rehearsal which follows reveals not only the heart of Shakespeare's play, but the machinations of play-making itself. Young audiences will delight at the mischievous antics of the fairy Puck, whose mis-applied love potions wreak mayhem on the mortals who cross his path. Audience participation will ensure a fun and fabulous time for actors and audience alike.

For More Information: please email the director, Lisa Eckley Cocchiarale, at ljcocchiarale@mail.widener.edu or call 610-499-4341.

Location: Widener University Alumni Auditorium on the main campus in Chester.

Swarthmore Charity Fun Fair 2009

9th Annual Swarthmore Charity Fun-Fair

Sunday, April 18, 2010

1:00pm -5 pm

Swarthmore Septa Train Station College Lane and Chester Road

To kick-off the festivities, there will be a parade down Park Avenue starting at 1:15 behind elements of the outstanding Strath Haven marching band, color guard, fire engines, and local and State dignitaries in convertibles and all the Village services.

Then comes the costume parade section with all the folks who dress in "Make Dreams Real" costumes. All – kids and adults, groups and individuals alike - who come to the Fun-Fair in costume will want to take part.

Starting when the kick-off parade ends – about 2 pm – and continuing until 5:00, there will be continuous entertainment on each of the three raised sound stages around the Village. Last year, 22 groups and individuals filled 4 hours with marvelous music, dance and acts, while, in addition, various street performers made merry throughout the business district.

They will have a Food Court that will be serving a wide array of wonderful snacks and mouth-watering food and (non-alcoholic) drinks. Everything from roast pig to Chinese to excellent deli offerings to hot dogs to pastries and more – it means nobody has to prepare Sunday dinner on April 18th!

To protect the passengers, law enforcement will be on hand to keep the peace and see that justice is served. Passengers should be warned that this trip is filled with theft, scandal and plenty of laughs.

Guests aboard this Strasburg Rail Road train will recognize the robbers by their early 20th century dress.
