About the band
Philadelphia duo Sun Airway is quickly establishing themselves as one of the notable new bands of 2010 on the heels of its just released debut album "Nocturne of Exploded Crystal Chandelier" (Dead Oceans). The band in the last month was featured on NPR's "World Cafe Next," had their song "Oh, Naoko" dubbed "Song of the Day" by influential indie rock station KEXP, played the Pitchfork "Offline Festival" in NYC and embarked on its first national tour. Philadelphia music blogger "The Walrus" called the band "easily my favorite new band in Philly . . . a beautiful new sound . . . personal songs dressed in lush vocals and ethereal soundscapes. In short, it’s spellbinding." walrusmusicblog.com. "Very catchy and recommended." Stereogum. "[D]reamy electro-tinged indie rock . . . buzzy swoon-inducers." Tiny Mix Tapes.
Now the best part is getting the chance to win a family four pack to the show. Fun Things will be giving away 2 family 4 packs to the show on Saturday November 27th. To enter fill out the form below before Sunday November 21, 2010. I will announce and contact the winners on Monday.
Good luck!
