Invention Convention
at Hagley Museum
January 14, 15, 16th
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hagley's Invention Convention is three full days of inventing, experimenting, hands-on fun, and interactive educational entertainment for families.
Invention Convention encourages innovation, creativity, and imagination in young people through science, technology, and engineering. At the Tinkering Tables, children take apart gadgets to see how they are made. They can then make their own “invention” at the Create-an-Invention room. Everyday household items are used to make their invention. Afterward, children receive a patent from the Hagley Patent Office. Science shows will once again be part of the event. New science demonstrations and interactive performances will actively engage families.
