Europe in the 17th century has outgrown its borders. Political and religious wars on the continent and in Great Britain have catapulted its people into the modern age. The Americas have been mapped and explored for more than a century and the great Continental powers have staked their claims to the new territory. Conflict and clashes of culture are happening. Witness a period of our history that shows the expanding horizons of both Europe and America. There will also be a farm day with early colonial music (11-2), textile demonstrations, hearth cooking (Sunday only) and tea in the parlor.
