The Delaware Museum of Natural History will host the Brandywine Family Film Festival (BFF) during the evenings of August 17-19, 2012, featuring an exciting collection of short and feature-length film programs. This is the first year for such a festival in the Brandywine Valley. Each film selection for this family-friendly, outdoor event was crafted with care to appeal to the next generation of movie-lovers. Inspiring, magical works made by acclaimed and up-and-coming filmmakers alike will take you on a celluloid ride around the globe, with films sure to inspire the whole family. All of the films are appropriate for children ages 4 through 12. BFF is organized and created by Museum member Kimberly Fields-Cauley as a creative, community event specifically designed for families. The goal of BFF is to foster a deep appreciation for local and global art and culture by presenting it in the format children and families love - movies! This three-day event will include animated, live-action, short, and feature-length films for the whole family. Each evening will include a showing of several short films followed by a feature film. The festival will take place Friday through Sunday, August 17-19, 2012 on the grounds behind the Museum. Each evening, doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Short films will begin at 7:30 p.m. Feature films will begin at 8:30 p.m. As an added bonus, each ticket provides one-night admission to multiple films and access to the Museum's permanent exhibits, as well as our special exhibit, Earth from Space. Rain dates for the festival are August 18-20, 2012. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under). Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at http://bwfilmfest2012. |
