Hedgerow’s Pumpkin Party Promises Family Fun
The teaching artists and The Youth Council of Hedgerow Theatre invite families to join them for a “Pumpkin Party” on Saturday, October 27 from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. at Hedgerow Studio, 146 W. Rose Valley Road in Rose Valley. This free event in celebration of Halloween and the opening of the fall children’s programs is designed for families with kids ages 2 to 10, but all are welcome.
Activities, which begin at 12:30 p.m., include fall-themed music, arts and crafts, fun games, face painting, pumpkin decorating and a (non-scary) Halloween interactive story time. Families should bring a blanket and picnic lunch to enjoy on the lawn, and a set of old clothes to turn into scarecrows. Straw and creative assistance will be provided. There will be story times at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Musician Chris Adams, a local singer and guitarist, will provide entertainment during the lunch hour from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Adams performs a variety of genres, including jazz, blues, folk and Americana.
Guests are encouraged to dress in farm attire or their Halloween costumes. Prizes will be awarded each hour for the best, most creative and funniest outfits.
Space is limited, so preregistration is recommended. Visit www.HedgerowTheatre.org or call 610-565-4211 to reserve a place. There is no charge for attending, but donations are greatly appreciated.
