The Delaware Museum of Natural History is inviting visitors to explore the Museum after dark with a family movie night on Saturday, January 19, from 6-9 p.m.
Presented by Brandywine Family Films, a local group created by Museum member Kimberly Fields-Cauley, this special night at the movies will feature scavenger hunts, live animals from the Museum's Education Division, and the 2011 children's film Mia & the Migoo, starring the vocal talents of Whoopi Goldberg, Matthew Modine, Wallace Shawn, and James Woods, and shown in the Museum's Ederic Exhibit Hall.
Winner of Best Animated Feature at the 2011 European Film Awards, the film tells the story of young Mia as she sets out on a journey to find her father, who's gone missing in a tropical paradise threatened by development. Along her route, Mia encounters the Migoo and must help them save the forest and find her father before it's too late.
Visitors are encouraged to get comfortable by bringing blankets or sleeping bags to lay on the floor of the exhibit hall. Tickets are $5 for adults and children (age 3 and over) and must be purchased in advance viahttp://anightatthemuseum.
