Catholic Community
Choir, a children’s theater program in Springfield, is extending its current
program in September 2013 with CAPA, a full day music and performing arts
academy for pre-school and kindergarten age children. CAPA is also offering three summer camp
programs for summer 2013.
This new school, the first of its kind in the area, is
currently enrolling students for the 2013-2014 school year. The school is
located at 200 West Sproul Road, where Catholic Community Choir currently runs
their after school program.
Led by a dynamic founding board and Mrs. Andrea Devenney as our Principal, CAPA is thrilled to be opening its doors and start this new musical and academic experience for young learners. CAPA is offering both full day and half-day programs for 3 year olds, 4 year olds, and Kindergarten. Every day instruction will focus on the core studies of language arts, reading, math and science, with an emphasis on music and the arts. Each day children will focus on new concepts and themes that will be guided with music and creativity. CAPA’s program will prepare early learners for their future academic years in a way traditional education cannot by integrating music and traditional curriculum. The rewards are endless and CAPA’s experience will be beneficial for years to come!
CAPA is also
currently enrolling for our three summer camps for students pre-school through
8th grade.
- Creative Explorers, a week of fun and imaginative experiences (June 24th-28th)
- Bible Camp, a spiritual and musical fun week learning more about our faith (July 8th-12th)
- Academic Enrichment, a week focusing on refreshing skills and techniques lost in the summer (August 5th-9th).
Currently, CAPA is enrolling students for both summer
programs and the academic year. If you would be interested in meeting with the
Principal and staff or would like to schedule a tour, please contact the office
