Sheep To Shawl

You are invited to a Sheep to Shawl event. Come see the horned dorset sheep and hog island sheep of the Colonial Plantation lose their winter coats. Saturday, April 27th. See the complete process -skirting, washing, dyeing, carding, drop spinning, wheel spinning, knitting and weaving. There will be flax, bobbin lace, and lucet demonstrations. There will also be hearth cooking, garden, farm, and house tours. Our master potter, Nicole Dubrow, will be demonstating how to use the kick wheel. Enjoy a day in the country that is very close to home.
