Players Club of Swarthmore Children’s Theater Presents the Jungle Book

It’s a jungle out there – and at the Players Club of Swarthmore this August! PCS Children’s Theater rounds out their season with the wonderfully imaginative and creative play, Jungle Book. Local adult and child actors tell the tale of Mowgli, a jungle boy raised by wolves.

Recommended for children ages 3 and up, Jungle Book introduces us to Mowgil and his good friends Baloo, the bear, Bagheera, the panther and Kaa, the python snake – all living together in the jungle. Our hero, Mowgil, is tasked with defeating his mortal enemy Shere Khan, a man-eating tiger, who wants to rule the jungle. Mowgil doesn’t have to face his enemy alone though – the audience gets to help by portraying jungle animals such as monkeys, elephants, wolves, reptiles, bees and even a tropical storm! This fun show encourages audience participation and also contains a message about the importance of ecology.
