Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend: Please call ahead before leaving your house to ensure the venue is still hosting the event. Due to the new COVID guidelines, many venues have had to cut back on the number of visitors they can allow.

Join Allison DeSalvo's World of Song for some fun outdoor kids yoga this weekend with 'Turtle's World' at Friends of Little Crum Creek Park. This Saturday, 5/15 @ 10:30 AM, explore the turtle's habitat by the riverside and adventure through the park in the beauty of spring! Registration required.
Linvilla Orchards has partnered with The Historical Car Club of Pennsylvania (HCCP) for over three decades to present their annual Spring Meet. More than 250 spectacularly restored and maintained antique, classic, and muscle cars take over one of Linvilla’s big fields. Previous highlights have included a 1913 Ford Model T, a 1938 Ford Woody Wagon, a 1958 Chevy Impala, and a 1962 Chevy Corvette.
Get ready for a day of magical fun for the whole family, brought to you by Dream Parties! You'll get an amazing opportunity to meet and greet your favorite princesses! Dream Parties is bringing to you a one-of-a-kind event with all-new stage performances, dancing, stories, picture opportunities, and more for some magical entertainment! Your little one will get to participate in princess games, storytime, sing along, learn some ballroom dance moves, and more. Our event is geared towards your 3 - 7-year-old princess fan, though all are welcome! Fun-filled and interactive Princess Balls are our specialty. In honor of National Hospital Week (May 9–15), The Franklin Institute has teamed up with fellow Philadelphia cultural institutions to honor the service and dedication of hospital workers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. In appreciation of their critical, ongoing work to keep our communities safe and healthy, hospital workers plus up to three guests are invited to visit for free from May 5 through May 16, 2021. Advance registration is required.
Come to the Plantation on Saturday, May 8th, or Saturday, May 15th, and see our rare breed sheep lose their fleece. We will have Eva Mergen, one of our farmers, explain how to shear and then demonstrate the skill by using hand shears. We will also have people demonstrating most of the steps for turning that wool into cloth for clothing, and visitors will have an opportunity to card wool. We will explain how to care for sheep, what they eat, and the advantages of various breeds. There will also be a chance to learn about our other farm animals, including our horses, ox, pigs, chickens, geese, and turkeys. There will be hearth cooking, garden, farm, and house tours. Enjoy a day in the country that is very close to home. Shearing times are 11:30 and 1:30 (times may be subject to change).
May will be Strawberry Month at Peddler’s Village. Every day in May, savor strawberry-themed food and drink specials at our restaurants and eateries. Stop by on weekends for live entertainment and strawberry treats served at outdoor food tents.
Come sail with us! Kalmar Nyckel offers river cruises, day sails, and appearances from May through October in 2021. Sails are limited to 25 passengers, and reservations are required.
Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is one of the Philadelphia Waterfront's favorite Summertime traditions featuring outdoor roller skating, boardwalk games and rides, mini-golf, and great food and drinks, all with soaring views of the Delaware River and Ben Franklin Bridge. Summerfest is the perfect place for a family outing, a school trip, or a meet-up with friends.
The new Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink will offer outdoor roller skating at Dilworth Park from Friday, April 30 through Sunday, June 27. The rink’s retro-inspired design will feature a checkerboard floor and market lights. A colorful installation of overhead hula-hoops.
Elmo’s Springtacular at Sesame Place is filled with furry fun and exciting events! On weekends from April 24 through June 20, join in on the fun with an exciting lineup of meet & greets, music, magic, pirate adventures, and fireworks. With limited capacity, physical distancing increased cleaning, and more, it’s a great time to get back to fun in our spacious outdoor park.
Daytime, evening, and holiday-themed hayrides run throughout the seasons. Hayrides are family-friendly, and we operate many hay wagons at the same time during our peak hours. If it's your first time visiting Linvilla Orchards, taking a hayride should be at the top of your list!

Reel in fun and enjoy a day fishing at Linvilla's Orchard Lake! Orchard Lake was originally constructed to provide irrigation water for some of the farm’s many crops. However, creating a fishing destination was an equally important priority. In 2004 trout fishing opened at Orchard Lake, and it has been a popular activity ever since. Reserve tickets in advance.

Guests to the Philadelphia Museum of Art can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.
Each night Miss Debbie will read chapters from a selected book until it is finished.
