Hook your first fish today! Join us for our free Family Fishing Day and let our volunteers and staff help you get a start on fishing. Limited rods and bait will be available or bring your own! No license is needed.
The Free Fishing Day on Saturday, July 24 is in celebration of Latino Conservation Week!

Junie B. is ready for her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store, from new friends, to glasses, and the most extreme kickball tournament! Share the fun as Junie B. shares her “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal.”



Individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorder and their families are invited to join us for early access to the Museum and a variety of creative and accessible activities. 


Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and refreshments to enjoy an evening of music on the side lawn at the Arts Center.
Admission is free as always!  Tie-Dye Free with purchase of a T-shirt. 


The Archaeology Program seeks to evaluate archaeological resources and explore research questions concerning the development of the Newlin Grist Mill historic site while enhancing public knowledge and providing opportunities for the public to participate in the archaeological process. Please note, for this season we will not be allowing hands-on public participation, but visitors will have the opportunity to watch the archaeologists work and talk to them about the process and their finds!


New this year-Sunday Storytime! Join us Sunday, July 18th from 12:00pm until 2:00pm we will be reading from a children's book, the children will then do a hands-on activity, go on a behind-the-scenes farm tour, and then you are welcome to picnic in our grove!

Media Recreation Board invites you to join us for Media Family Movie Night in Barrall Field. Yes, that is right a movie under the stars on a 2-story inflatable movie screen. This is the return of the drive-in movie, minus the cars. Get the family together, pack some snacks, and join in on the fun.
The movie is "The Croods: A New Age"


We are excited to bring live entertainment back to our beloved amphitheater this summer, and we're committed to keeping a healthy environment for our audience, entertainers, and staff members.  The Summer Festival in Rose Tree Park runs from June 26 to August 22 with concerts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays at the outdoor amphitheater in Rose Tree Park.



Visit the whimsical world of Mo Willems and his cast of lovable characters, including best friend duo Elephant and Piggie, faithful companion Knuffle Bunny and The Pigeon, the wily city bird best known for his antics in Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!

Activities in the exhibition will give children the opportunity to make art that is inspired by Mo Willems and to learn about the social and emotional lives of the author’s popular characters.

Come sail with us! Kalmar Nyckel offers river cruises, day sails, and appearances from May through October in 2021. Sails are limited to 25 passengers, and reservations are required.

Reel in fun and enjoy a day fishing at Linvilla's Orchard Lake!  Orchard Lake was originally constructed to provide irrigation water for some of the farm’s many crops.  However, creating a fishing destination was an equally important priority.  In 2004 trout fishing opened at Orchard Lake, and it has been a popular activity ever since.  Reserve tickets in advance.
