A list of the best things to do in Delaware County this weekend
 October 28th, 29th, & 30th

What to do this weekend with your family? There is so much to do for families and kids, especially now that venues are open, and happy to welcome you back. Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend.

Check out our discount page to save money on activities to do with the kids, places to eat, or maybe even a date night for the parents.

Kids 0 – 6 years (siblings welcome!) are invited to come dressed up in costume and enjoy parading through downtown to the delight of passersby and shop merchants. Show off your costumes. Treats along the way!

Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation invites you to an evening of strange sounds, candlelight, and ghostly stories. Follow the torchlit path around our 1700s farm and face the darkness and weight of 300 years of human joy and misery through Delaware County’s most mysterious, scary, and true tales of terror. Due to the graphic nature of some stories, we strongly recommend ages 12 and up.
Advanced tickets are required.

Everyone's favorite parade is set for Saturday, October 29th. Get to State Street early to line the street for the perfect spot to watch the parade.

Haunted Trail at Sleighton Park on Saturday, October 29th.  For kids 12 and under.  Join us for our not-so-spooky haunted trail.

Join the Upper Darby Shooting Stars for a Trunk or Treat at the Merry Place. We’ll have decorated trunks, characters to meet, games, and performances. All this for $10 per family!

Fairy Tales are very old stories, some of them going back hundreds or even thousands of years. These stories have seen small changes over the centuries but have remained surprisingly consistent. And while they contain many fanciful and unrealistic story elements, there are bits and pieces in the stories that can give us little windows into life in the past.

Come learn about the skills of daily life in the past that we can find in fairy tales. All are encouraged to come in costumes and try their hand at historic skills.

ALL children with special needs and their families are warmly invited to join us this Saturday for our second annual #sensoryfriendly #trunkortreat! Our opening event last year was awesome. The community is welcome! Just please give us a heads-up RSVP if possible so we can prepare for everyone!
Linvilla Orchards Costume Parade

Food and drink available for purchase.

Two hours of spooky Halloween family-friendly fun! Come in costume and enjoy activities and treats at the museum.

Linvilla Orchard's famous Hayride to the Witch's House is a hayride to visit the friendly Witch in the woods. The witch tells stories and jokes and gives all of the kids a treat. The hayride will end at a campfire where there will be Cider and Marshmallows! This hayride is especially for young children! This is not a haunted hayride. Parents are welcome and encouraged to join their children on the ride.

Teens and Tweens will enjoy The Bates Motel & Haunted Hayride, which has been voted the #1 haunt in the country and has been featured on the Travel Channel.

An annual trip to Pumpkinland has been a family tradition for generations of Delaware Valley residents.

Join the fun at The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire  The Renaissance fair occurring over 13 weekends from early August through late October on the grounds of the Mount Hope Estate and Winery in Manheim, Pennsylvania.

Vibrancy and imagination abound during our spectacular Chrysanthemum Festival. We stretch our horticultural limits by nurturing and training specialty chrysanthemum forms, all bursting with color from start to finish, making for a radiant Conservatory bursting with personality.

Outside, explore our painted vistas as they change with the season, enjoy family fun in our fanciful Garden Railway and Pumpkin Playground, and find autumnal awe at every turn.

Don't miss the final flourish of our daily fountain performances, as well as Light: Installations by Bruce Munro—on view Thursday through Sunday evenings through October 30. Before dusk, explore our Gardens and kick back with live music in the Beer Garden. As darkness falls, Light’s eight installations begin to shine, adding a dimension of magic and wonder to our Gardens. Join us for that evening’s Illuminated Fountain Performance and enjoy even more fun afterward, as we remain open—and Light remains on view—until 11:00 pm.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art guests can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park have adventures behind every corner. They are the ultimate indoor playground for your entire family. Take your kids' birthday party to the next level or spend a day of fun with the family, and you'll see why we're more than just a trampoline park.
