We invite you to check out our events calendar, with many family-friendly events and things to do on the weekends and every day of the week. We constantly update our events calendar, so there is always something new and exciting to do!



Pumpkinland is open from mid-September through early November and takes center stage at Linvilla Orchards. See our piles of pumpkins in all colors, shapes and sizes — over 100 tons on display! We do not do Pick-Your-Own pumpkins at Linvilla. Our Pumpkins are all pre-harvested and displayed in bins. Larger-than-life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, featuring local history and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.



The Wayne Business Association is proud to have hosted this award-winning event for generations of families and is excited to welcome our community to the 31st  Annual Radnor Fall Festival on Sunday, September 17th.  The day will be filled with fun for all ages, with children’s rides, moon bounces, face painters, and more. Enjoy live performances from local dance troupes- Main Line Dance Company and Contempra Dance- Live Music from the bands at Bach to Rock and thrilling performances from SKY Martial Arts!



Professional kite-makers from the South Jersey Kite Flyers’ Association will guide participants age 3 & up in assembling and personalizing their own kite. Drop by the library’s back lawn anytime between 10 AM and Noon. 



Join Thomas the Tank Engine™, a full-sized operating steam locomotive, as he greets friends of all ages. Thomas and his friends return to the Strasburg Rail Road in 2023!

Thomas the Tank Engine — the famous steam locomotive from the Island of Sodor — will pull your 45-minute excursion ride (4.5 miles east and 4.5 miles returning west on the same track) through the beautiful Lancaster County countryside.

This is the full 45-minute train ride to Paradise, Pennsylvania, pulled by the fully operational steam Thomas the Tank Engine.




The Lancaster Balloon Festival is a one-of-a-kind event in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Hosted in the village of Bird-in-Hand, PA the festival features the mass launch of dozens of big, beautiful balloons, family entertainment, delicious food, and Amish goods.



Come in costume and celebrate silly, not-too-spooky fun at The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place! The park will be transformed into a family-friendly Halloween haven, and guests can enjoy trick-or-treating, Halloween-themed shows and parades, participating in our Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt and unique photo opportunities with everyone’s favorite furry friends dressed up in costume.



Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire at Mount Hope Estate. Guests can experience themed entertainment, food,  contests, and activities. Tickets should be purchased online in advance to guarantee admission.



Children of all ages are welcome to sit and listen, ask questions, doodle, draw, paste, and color to their heart's content. (Accompanying adults are also welcome to get involved!)




The Philadelphia Museum of Art guests can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.
