Enjoy free all-day admission to the Brandywine Museum of Art, plus a special opportunity to meet some of the picture book illustrators and authors whose work is featured in Brandywine’s special exhibition, Rooted: Family and Nature in Contemporary Children’s Book Illustration. The artists and authors will read and sign their books, and teaching artists will lead creative art activities* related to the themes of the books from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., which include making colorful prints with vegetables, imagining a secret garden, and counting the contributions to a fanciful group assemblage.
Join us the first Saturday of each month between 9 am – 12 pm for free in-person Kids Workshops. While supplies last.
What better way to end our fall harvest season than with our annual Arts & Craft Festival! We welcome select local artists and crafts persons to gather and sell their wares. Not only does this spectacular event offer live musical performances you will get a chance to shop for that unique find by browsing a variety of handmade wood crafts, jewelry, photography, candles, and more! Pumpkinland is open from mid-September through early November and takes center stage at Linvilla Orchards. See our piles of pumpkins in all colors, shapes and sizes — over 100 tons on display! We do not do Pick-Your-Own pumpkins at Linvilla. Our Pumpkins are all pre-harvested and displayed in bins. Larger-than-life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, featuring local history and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art guests can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.
