Climb a Tree at Tyler Arboretum

Join the fun on Saturday, August 11 from 10 am – 2 pm for the Tree House Festival at Tyler Arboretum. Celebrate all things trees on this day dedicated to our towering trees and Totally Terrific Treehouses!
Climb into the branches of Tyler’s tall trees with rope and harness, supervised by Oakwood Tree Care Professionals. Participate in the Philadelphia Zoo’s live bird shows at 10:15 am and 12:15 pm. Kids and families can test their sleuthing skills in a nature detective scavenger hunt. A story corner, tree and bird crafts, games, activities and more round out this day that includes exploring all seven Totally Terrific Treehouses!
Award-winning author, Jane Kirkland, will sign copies of her Take a Tree Walk book. The Take a Walk book series (www.takeawalk.com ) has been recommended by the National Science Teachers Association and has earned Seals of Approval from both the National Gardening Association and the National Parenting Center. The series is loved by kids and parents alike who like to learn about trees, the environment or just want to have fun outdoors!
