The Media Theatre presents its own spin on “Alice In Wonderland” weekends February 2-23. The hour long musical for youth may be seen on Saturday mornings at 11am throughout the month and has two special Sunday afternoon performances on Feb. 3 and 10 at 1pm.
Lewis Carroll’s story follows the adventures of a young girl who falls down a rabbit hole and encounters a strange, fast-paced world of odd characters where reason seems to be non-existent. She meets a large talking caterpillar, singing flowers and mushrooms, and a Royal Court that is run by a nasty Queen who refuses to allow anyone to win at her croquet game.
This production of “Alice in Wonderland” is fun, fast-paced, and makes every effort to not be frightening for young children. The croquet game is played with volunteers from the audience as Flamingos and Hedgehogs and includes fun with beach balls.
